Rabeprazole is prescribed for the treatment of duodenal ulcers, GERD, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a disorder characterized by excessive stomach acid production. It can also be used in conjunction with antibiotics (such as clarithromycin and amoxicillin) to treat ulcers brought on by H-virus infections.
